Begun is created by two college friends with a simple belief: clothing should move with you, not slow you down.
Advait, a cinematographer and photographer, has spent most of his life exploring the art of storytelling through films and images. After living, studying, and working in New York City for five years, he experienced the everyday ease of athleisure firsthand — clothes people wore all day, across workouts, work, and life, without having to change or compromise on comfort. Seeing this freedom in motion made one thing clear: this was a gap that needed solving in India.
Zainil, co-founder and partner, brings the entrepreneurial and operational backbone to Begun. A business owner with deep experience in direct-to-consumer products, he understands how people shop online and what makes brands scale. With a sharp eye for opportunity, strong operational instincts, and an interest in India’s growing fitness culture, he knows how to turn ideas into well-run, people-first businesses.
